About Dr. Havsy
Scott
L. Havsy, DO, JD, DAAPM, in private practice since 1981, is certified in pain management by the American Academy of Pain
Management since 1989. He was the former medical director of Pain
Diagnostics & Rehabilitation Associates, PS (PDRA), an outpatient
rehabilitation specializing in the treatment of patients involved in
work related injuries, auto accidents and chronic pain.
Dr.
Havsy graduated with honors from the University of Miami in Coral
Gables, Florida in 1975 with a bachelor of Science in Chemistry and
attended the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des
Moines, IA, graduating in 1978. Dr. Havsy then entered the United
States Army where he completed his internship at Madigan Army
Medical Center and was assigned to the 9th Infantry
division as a Brigade Surgeon.
Dr.
Havsy was an associate editor for a peer review medical journal and
received the "Journal Article of the Year Award" in 1994. In 1998,
Dr. Havsy received his Jurist Doctor, graduating from the Seattle
University School of Law. In addition, Dr. Havsy was on the
teaching faculty of the American Academy of Pain Management.
In
2000, Dr. Havsy retired as medical director of PDRA, and began a
career in Forensic Consulting working with attorneys on medical
malpractice and criminal matters.

patients involved in work related injuries, automobile
accidents, sports related trauma as well as other medical
conditions that cause pain. In addition, we specialize in
treating patients who suffer from chronic pain with a goal of
reducing or alleviating their need for medication but more
importantly, we try to diagnose their underlying medical
problems which aids in providing proper medical care.
Living
& Wellness Centers, PS, also works with men, focusing on anti-aging
issues including Male Hormone Replacement Therapy, diet and
exercise.
